Areas of scientific interest

  • Research in animal production

The main research topics in the field of animal production and husbandry are: (1) animal reproduction and (2) animal production. The topics were developed in several projects: NCSR project – animal reproduction in intensive system management, in a World Bank project – Participatory extension by researcher-extension agent-farmer in a partnerships for dairy farms, PHARE project – Establishment an Extension Unit near university and training coordinator of Nederland Government project – Establishment of the Dairy Demonstration Farm and the Practical Training and Advisory Centre for Dairy in Romania.

  • Research in experimental and population medicine

In the framework of Experimental unit infrastructure, part of Horia Cernescu Research Unit, and in a Romanian animal production facility, research is done in experimental medicine.
